Support for the Elderly
The elderly population is expected to continue growing. The TMG aims to create a caring society, where seniors can continue to live vibrantly and with dignity in the familiar surroundings of their communities.
Long-term Care Insurance System
In the Long-term Care Insurance System, society as a whole supports the independent living of seniors requiring long-term care. The long-term care users can select what services they wish to receive. The TMG is working with municipalities (insurers) to, among others, ensure proper insurance benefits and improve the fundamental structure of long-term care services.
Support for People with Dementia
This TMG official website aims to develop communities where people with dementia and their family members can live with peace of mind. It provides comprehensive information, ranging from basic facts about the disease to introduction of consultation services, various seminars held by the TMG and measures under study.

Here, you can learn about preventing elder abuse, measures to uphold their rights, and consumer troubles. Everyone is encouraged to take measures in your communities and work settings to enable senior citizens to live with dignity.
