Nagaike-mitsuke-bashi Bridge

A course familiar with the nature and townscapes of Tama New Town, which incorporates modern and historical bridges

Route Description

Minami-osawa Sta.→Minamiosawa-nakago Park→Shimizuiri-ryokuchi Greenbelt→Nagaike Park→Nagaike-mitsuke-bashi Bridge→Renshoji Park→Eirinji Temple→Horinouchi Terasawa Satoyama Park→Keio-horinouchi Sta.
You can enjoy this course either in the sequence outlined above or in the reverse order from goal to start.
Please choose your departure point according to your preferences.

A course to walk in a figure-8 from Minami-osawa Sta. to Keio-horinouchi Sta. to stroll through Tama New Town. While you make the rounds of the many parks and green belts, you can see a rare round-shaped pedestrian bridge and the Nagaike-mitsuke-bashi Bridge which retains traces of the civilization and enlightenment. These make up a course with historical highlights including Eirinji Temple. While this is a long and undulating course, it is walkable as there are many wide walking paths throughout.

* The time, calorie consumption, and number of steps for each walking course were calculated using a speed of 4 km/h, walking 10 minutes = 30 kcal, one step = 70 cm and a body weight of 60 kg.
